#LMLLE 2017 Look Book & My 5 Best Buys in 2017

The year is almost over, and therefore it is about time to revue all my best 2017 looks published on Ly Mademoiselle and Instagram (@lyy.hng).

It was a year full of changes and new tryings. From Mom-Jeans, over to more sneakers, to girly school looks. As always I love to express myself and my mood through fashion and since 2017 was a year full of ups and downs my outfits were very different from each other. My favourite look of the year is the rose pastel outfit with the beautiful Louvre Museum in Paris as a location.

Which one of the 2017 looks do you like the most?

My favourite buys of the year were very easy to pick since these are the items I wore the most this year. Also, I haven’t bought so many fashion items this year because, during the first half of the year, I was travelling around a lot and during the second half, I spent my whole money on skincare. The good thing about that was that I couldn’t buy so many items, which I regretted later, and my favourite buys will be loved next year as well.

1.   C H A N E L   B O Y   B A G

My all day bag of the year is the Chanel Boy bag, which I do really adore. Since I bought it in Paris at the beginning of the year, it became my all day to go bag. It is so much more convenient than the Chanel Classic Flap Bag. Furthermore, even though both bags have the same size, I can carry more things with me in the ‘Boy’ bag. Besides, I choose the caviar leather, so thanks to all those reasons it is perfect for an all-day bag.

2.   D I O R   S O   R E A L   S U N G L A S S E S

Another all-day item of 2017 is my sunglasses from Dior. I love wearing sunglasses, whether to complete my outfit with it as a fashion statement or to hide behind them. As for the Dior So Real sunglasses, I wanted them for years. Since they were introduced to the market to be precise. Unfortunately, the silver ones never suited me, and it took so long to find the perfect one. Since I saw them, I am always wearing them when there is even one chance of shafts of sunlight.

3.   D I A N E   V O N   F U R S T E N B E R G   D R E S S

My DVF dress was actually a birthday present from my mum, but it still had to be on this list because it is one of my prettiest dresses, which I have. For as I could remember, I was wearing it the whole summer. For more chic moments styling it with heels and for a casual vibe as a cute summer outfit with flats. In my opinion, white dresses are a must-have for spring and summer.

4.   S T U A R T   W E I T Z M A N   O V E R K N E E S

I already mentioned once how much I love the overknees from Stuart Weitzman, because of that I had to buy another pair from them. This year, I went for the ‘Lowland’ model because I wanted to have a couple, in which I can walk around and go shopping the whole day. For tips how to style your overknees head over to the ‘How to style your overknees‘ article.

5.   V A L E N T I N O   L O C K   U P   B A G

Last but definitely not least is my Lock bag in rose from Valentino. This is my first bag in this colour, and I also wanted to have the Lock bag from Valentino for years. For spring and summer, I think it is so essential to have accessories in pastel colours. But not only for the first two season of the year, a bag like the Lock bag is also beautiful for special events.

What were your best buys of 2017?
